How do I place an order?

How soon will I receive my Photo Movie, Slide Show, or Video Movie?

In most cases, please allow 3 to 4 weeks from the time we receive your materials and instructions, for your finished DVD to be ready.

What are titles and how many can I have?

• Select and jot down a main title for your movie, which will go on the outer label of your finished DVD. You can also have an additional title for each chapter, if you'd like, as well as unlimited captions throughout your movie.
• We'll help suggest wording if you'd like.
• You may wish to consider one of our custom titles such as the Multiple Video Clips Title or a Photo Montage Title.

How can I be sure there are no typing errors?

To ensure no typing mistakes in your Photo Movie, Slide Show, or Video Movie, we'll need a list from you (typed if possible, or clearly hand printed), which includes all your titles and captions. Please be sure to double-check all names and spellings.

How long will each photo be on screen?

The average time on screen is about 10 seconds per photo, including transitions. If you prefer a faster-paced photo sequence, we'll be happy to speed it up.

Why should I group my photos and other items into chapters?

• Sorting your photos into groups or "chapters" will enhance your movie and make it easier to add titles and appropriate music later.
• Chapters will correspond to DVD menus that allow you to select your favorite scenes.

Do some pictures look better on video than others do?

Clear, sharp photos will give the best results, but we provide cropping, sharpening, and image enhancement at no charge.

What about music?

• Consider what music you want on your Photo Movie, Slide Show, or Video Movie. CDs are best because of their high quality, but cassettes and LP/45 records also work fine. Please, use only your own music, do not borrow music from friends or a library.
• Choose the songs and list the order in which you'd like them to be played.
• If you prefer, we also have a library of free instrumental music from which to choose.

Can I have songs synchronize with certain images?

Yes, for an additional cost, we can synchronize music or sound to correspond with selected images. We'll adjust the amount of time these images stay on screen to match with the audio, so everything fits together naturally. This service is only available for Photo Movies, not for Slide Shows.

Do you edit home videos?

We can include portions of your VHS, Super VHS, VHS-C, MiniDV, 8mm, and Hi-8 tapes when creating a Video Movie for you. Some pricing packages include assembling video clips and removing unwanted material. Extensive video editing is charged by the hour.

What about slides and home-movie film?

• We can incorporate your 35mm slides, film negatives, and transparencies up to 4x9 inches. These can be used in Photo Movies or Slide Shows.
• We can also arrange to transfer your 8mm or Super 8mm home-movie film, for inclusion in your Video Movie, at cost plus a small handling fee. Please contact us with the size and number of reels so we can price it for you, and allow an extra week or two for delivery of your Video Movie.

Can I include a dedication or voice recording on my Photo Movie, Slide Show, or Video Movie?

• Yes, just provide a CD or cassette with your recorded message, and tell us where you'd like it to go.
• You also can include a videotape of you or an honored loved one, telling personal stories and reflecting on times gone by.

Will my Photo Movie, Slide Show, or Video Movie work with any video player?

• Our DVDs are compatible with most DVD players, but some players made before the year 2000 cannot read recordable DVDs. If you have an older DVD player, give us the make and model number and the year purchased, and we'll confirm its compatibility before we begin.
• Our VHS videotapes can be played on any standard VCR.

Will my music, photos, and other items be safe?

• When we deliver your finished DVD, all your materials will be returned to you in the same condition as received.
• If we can't receive your materials in person, we recommend shipping by UPS, Post Office insured, or another method that can be tracked.
• Note: Please contact us before you ship anything so we can watch for your materials.
• If you have a priceless photo or two that can't be replaced, you might consider using a photo service to have a copy made before shipping it; or have your photos put onto a photo CD.
